Message | The NLP agrees. Any money awarded to the plaintiff should be compensational, not punitive. However, we request several changes to the current proposal. Compensation should cover all costs that can be proven by the plaintiff to have directly resulted from the incident, including income lost as a result of medical leave. Medical expenses arising from the incident and other easily transferable costs should simply be billed to the defendant, with the court only determining more subjective costs, like lost income. |
