Message | "For the development of a responsible financial, economic and industrial equilibrium in Solentia, I urge the Senate to approve these increases. Mass Socialisation and Nationalisation over the past decade have, in my office's opinion, crippled the Finance Department. These tax changes will allow us to distribute taxation fairly and will allow for budget increases that will give our public services the support and substance that they need. It's time the figures backed up the theory. These changes are for schools, hospitals, trains, roads, museums, libraries, the police, the military. All of the areas that presently do not have the funding they need." Teddy Ollerenshaw, Finance Secretary. ooc: and for OOC realism also. |

Message | "The SSCP supports this noble move of fiscal responsibility on the part of Minister Ollerenshaw. It is high time that government departments receive the funding which they deserve." Martin Beckons |

Message | We oppose, and would like to point out that it was the CMP/Unionists who implemented the nationalisation which 'crippled the finance department' whilst in previous governments. Coleen Power Acting Conservative Leader |
Date | 19:33:28, September 09, 2010 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Responsible Fiscal Management Model Act 2997 |
Message | "The Conservatives prove themselves to be part of the culture of fiscal irresponsibility. Departments are underfunded, the working classed baring the brunt. It is time to restore fairness, make the middle and upper classes pay their way and legislate carefully and responsibly in the national intetrest. The Conservative talk a good talk, but when it comes to making the tough choices, investing and acting above politics in a national-way, they are letting down the Federal Republic." Message | Well with respect, you have been in a lot of the previous adminstrations voting for these tax hikes, voting for these budgets that have passed. So if you are finding your department to be in a mess and the budget similar as you have claimed, surely your party is part of the problem for voting in favour of previous adminstration budgets? Coleen Power Acting Leader of the Conservatives |
Date | 19:52:59, September 09, 2010 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Responsible Fiscal Management Model Act 2997 |
Message | "Not at all. In fact, the reason the CMP have backed budget increases is because the departments arer UNDERfunded. We need more money to handle the nationalisation, which we supported, and so we backed the budgets that saught to improve the situation. Now that we are in the Finance Ministry, we can set to work fixing the problem, raising revenue to ensure that the changes made and our successful public services have the figures and substance to back them up. It's about supporting the professionals and making sure that our government is responsible in this. We take funding public services seriously and we're willing to act in national interest. We note that this is actually against our usual party policy. Whcih shows that we ARE acting not in a political manner, but in the national interest. Normally, our Finance Secretaries (there is a very long list of them by the way, over 20 at my count), are dedicated to lowering taxation, cutting spending and improving investment in health and education. This time, we know that all departments need the funding and we thus act in a fair, just and responsible manner in making sure that the numbers back up the law." Teddy Ollerenshaw, Finance Secretary. |

Message | We will not support any form of sales tax on basic goods. We would support your income tax proposal provided a nominal 1% tax up to 15000 SOL is provided. Ada Ashworth Finance Spokesperson |
Date | 12:59:40, September 10, 2010 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Responsible Fiscal Management Model Act 2997 |
Message | "In which case, the Social Democrats have only themselves to blame when hospitals remain underfunded and people die. The CMP may be forced to start mass-privatisation because frankly, this can't go on." Teddy Ollerenshaw, Finance Secretary. |
