Message | TSP is opposed to this bill, and the proposition that devolution "breeds inequality." If representatives of the Progressive Party believe that all students are the same, then we must heartily decry their naive perspective concerning education. Devolution is the best way to accomodate the diverse nature of the student population. A national education system only shackles students to a strictly regimented organization that teaches the nothing but how to stand in lines and perform nationally standardized tests. Never mind the fact that such a system by its very nature does not alow for multiple styles and speeds of learning. National schools the world over are notorious for oversized classes, overworked teachers, poor quality of education, and poor behavioral discipline. In the interests of our future economy, our families and our children TSP urges the MPs from the other parties to oppose this measure. |

Message | There has to be a uniform standard of education. If you devolve the responsibility, then inequalities in funding and skill will happen. If there is a uniform public education, then standards will be the same. |
Date | 06:46:53, September 18, 2010 CET | From | Rutanian Restoration Party | To | Debating the Public Schools Initiative |
Message | There does not have to be a uniform standard. Local governments are far more representative of the people, as government closer to home is far more accessible to the people. Having bureaucrats in Hayek dictate that the needs of school children in inner-city Bozarburg and rural Delvar are the same is ludicrous. |
