Bill: Proposal to Change Immigration Policies
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian Capitalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2141
Description[?]:
It is the belief of this party that the current immigration policies put both this nation and immigrant workers at a great disadvantage. Not only can the policy weaken the economy via an influx of immigrant workers of a particular job description, it increases immigrant unemployment. It would be in the best interests of this nation and her valued immigrant workers to restrict immigration policies to reflect changes in the dynamics of our economy. |

Message | The People's Equality Party disagrees with this proposal, immigration is an important part of any country's economy, bringing in new workers, new ideas, and so on, while people may not always possess great qualifications that does not mean they are lazy, unskilled, not talented or not intelligent |

Message | Hm. Well, I would like to state for the record I do not believe immigrants to be lazy. On the contrary, I doubt I'll remain in my country for the rest of my life either. However, I also would never expect a nation to allow me entrance if I cannot help their nation in some way. And this is also not an attempt to prevent the entrance of 'unskilled' labour... just a proposal to help keep our work force balanced. As for the proposal of the AGSP... I would support such a proposal, as it would essentially do the same thing in preventing those who would be unable to find work from entering our borders. |
