Message | Quite agree with the Crown Party, the CMP has long advocated our current position, yet never had any reason tos upport their argument. With the current proposals our armed forces have nothing to support themselves, unarmed soldiers in warfare, no nucelur weaponary when other countries have them, how will this assist our nation in the event something should happen? And please dont use the old argument 'well we havent gone to war in ages, so it wont ever happen' because all it takes is one nation to use their nucleur weaponary. Jim Fletcher Shadow Foreign |

Message | "The CMP has always advocated, and the system presently allows for, a fully armed Military. These "unarmed soldiers" the Conservatives are talking about, simply do not exist. They are complete inventions and lies designed to scaremonger the Solentian public, something we see as grossly unfair and unjust. The Armed Forces of Solentia are a highly advanced and supported force, who would have much higher levels of funding had parties brought it upon themselves to vote in favour of rational taxation and spending to give to the MoD. Nuclear Weapons and Bio-Chemical Warheads are only a fraction of the Solentian Armed Forces and our inability to use them does not harm our overall defence, only our deterrent." Andrew Took, CMP Security and Intelligence Spokesman. |

Message | I remind Mr took that during the Supreme Presidency of Max Bowman, our nation was threatened with invasion and warfare from Wantuni at a time they were particularly violent and expansionistic. Diplomatic overtures were rebuffed. It took one threat of nuclear annihilation to stop the Wantinis dead in their tracks, and saved us from what very well may have been a devastating war. We cannot have effective diplimacy, without the means to back it up. In a world of nuclear armed nations, Solentia cannot hold her own, as unallied as she is, in a continuously weakened state. I challenge you to respond. Defence Minister Bernard Harrison |

Message | I would chime in to say that the Tories have not in recent memory proposed or supported increased military spending. To blame the current woefully level of funding on this when in fact they have only proposed increases to other departments is ingenious at best, and an outright lie at worst. Lord Belisarius |
Date | 19:28:55, September 23, 2010 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Military Strategy Bill |
Message | "Solentia has the continued backing of the Majatran Union. Our Armed Services remain on top-form, what the Crown Party would have us impliment is not defence, it is threat, instability, provokation and potential devestation." Andrew Took, CMP Security and Intelligence Spokesman. |
Date | 19:32:10, September 23, 2010 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Military Strategy Bill |
Message | "The Tories have always backed spending and taxation increases during times of underfunding. I believe we supported the Harrison Budget in 3000 for instance." Andrew Took, CMP Security and Intelligence Spokesman. |

Message | We provoke no one and wish good will and Christian charity to all. But we do not believe in backing up our words with more words. We have the lessons history has provided, and we suggest using them as a basis for common sense. Senator Michael Lister |

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
