Bill: National Sport Change

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Darnussia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3009

Description[?]:

Target shooting? What pathetic sport is that? It's an insult to sport to even call it a sport.

How about something a bit more conventional?

MessageA good idea, any way to tone back the violent trappings of this government.

MessageHow about something that isn't gay?

I can agree with changing it to an actual sport though

MessageI'll give you a list of options:

Football (not soccer; real football)
Basketball
Baseball
Hockey

I would also like to give the option for boxing, my favorite sport, but being that it isn't a team sport I doubt any of you would vote in favor, but it is the 5th option.

(anything but gay sports like soccer is okay with me; as long as its a real sport)

MessageIn fact you can take baseball off of that list because although it is okay for a pass-time, making it, being a game that really doesn't require a whole lot of athleticism, the national sport, is something I'm not all that keen on ...but whatever ... it doesn't really matter what the national sport is, just so long as its not soccer or some other weird euro thing

Message"Football (not soccer; real football)" By that, I presume you mean "American Football" <- It's proper name.

I think you'll find that soccer is actually called "Assosiation Football", or, apart from Canada, US, Australia and Western Ireland (where it is known as soccer), simply "Football".

Since the English invented the modern version of assosiation football, I think they get the right to call it what they wish.

Of course, I have nothing against you calling it soccer, as that's the way it is; but don't try to say that "real football" is that over-hyped rugby you lot play in North America ;-). "Real football" is assosiation football (The second F in FIFA stands for "Football")

MessageAlso Libertarians, due to your extreme stuck up attitude to everything that you don't like, I am not even going to take your ideas into consideration.

MessageAnd just because you don't like a certain sport doesn't mean you have to vote against it.

I hate tennis, rugby, basketball, baseball and cricket, but would vote for them in the event of the sport needing changed.
