Bill: RP Law: Darnussian Languages Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Darnussia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3012

Description[?]:

I don't know what the current status of this law is. It was swept up in the fury of the civil war and has never been re-examined. I feel it should be clarified.

The Federal Republic of Darnussia shall, as in the past, have TWO official languages:

NARIK, (spoken by 60%) mainly of the Islands (Island of Narikaton, Island of Shirmania and the Migrant Islands)

and

DARNUS, (40%) mainly of the Mainland (Kozaria and Alkavon)

This law shall require all public schools to teach BOTH languages as part of their pupils mandatory education. All public information signs throughout the Federal Republic (Islands and Mainland) must be in both Narik and Darnus.

Messageuh ah, no way; don't make any language "official", but do make the majority language the de facto language used by the federal government

MessageOOC:

I actually agree with the Libertarians. Let's worry about a de facto language, instead of an official one. Also, please remember to stick with the proper RP Law format.

The result of that last time was 15 years of civil war. I think languages is an issue that must be centralised.

MessageReally? We had 15 years of civil war because the federal government didn't take an official stance on the language of the nation .......
