MessageMr Speaker,

The Lutheran Legitimist Party, being the dominant force in the CIL at present, most strongly opposes article two. Marriage is a sacred institution, a bond created before God and only those who have the sanction of the Vicar of Christ on Terra have the sufficient authority to perform a marital ceremony. God forbid that homosexuals be allowed to marry.

Furthermore, we express support for article 1 but it is in no way strong enough to overshadow article 2 and we will vote a resounding "nay", while maintaining the greatest respect for our noble allies in the Employers Association Party.

I yield the floor to any who wish to comment.
