| The National Diet resolves that the recognized holidays and festivals of Tukarali be updated to fit the times. The listed holidays and festivals and the accompanying dates shall be federally recognized. Schools and non-essential government offices are to be closed on these days, with employees receiving paid holiday. The 2787 and 2986 resolutions on holidays and festivals shall be void. Recognized Holidays & Festivals: * January 1 - New Years' Day :: celebration of the new year * Date Varies - Spring Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, celebration of the new year based on the ancient Mu-Tze calendar * April 5 - Qingming Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, remembrance of ancestors and tending of graves * May 1 - Workers' Day :: celebration of the working class of society * July 18 - Malagar Day :: celebration of the birthday of former President Ryan Malagar * September 25 - National Unity & Reformation Day :: celebration of the foundation of Greater Tukarali * Date Varies - Moon Festival :: Mu-Tze holiday, ancient harvest festival * November 30 - Founder's Day :: celebration of the birthday of the Great Dictator Shuya Nakagawa * December 25 - Christmas:: commercial holiday, emphasis on togetherness and gift-giving. |
