| Message | I can still make minor edits to the flag fairly easily if the current version doesn't work. I just figured if we're gonna go Roman, we should use the Roman symbol - the SPQR eagle was the equivalent of the flag of the Roman Empire. :-) |

| Message | The DUP's colours are purple because its the colour of royalty. Oddly enough very much inherited from Roman tradition, where only Senators were allowed to wear purple. Well actually, it was largely because purple was the most expensive colour, so only senators could actually afford purple. So basically, purple is the most regal, imperious colour there is. Red is as cheap as chips in comparison. |
