MessageCommune sounds a bit silly quite honestly. And the second proposals is a bit unfair actually, though we fully understand the political motivation given that you won one of the less populous regions and would stand to gain from it.

Hell, if it werent for the fact that we arent fully confident this will fail and we wouldn't lose quite badly because of it, we'd vote yes purely for the balls you've shown in blatantly acting out of self interest.

MessageWe find the SLD accusations completely outrageous. Doesn't it occurred to you that our massive support in Dazlon was motivated by our long time defence of a more egalitarian pact between ikradonian territories? Federalism is one of our core principles and we will stand by it every time. However, if the other parties feel the same way, we will retire the bill and propose it again when there won't be any suspicion of obtaining a political gain from it.

The SP will never put their interests before the interests of our Nation.

(OOC: I know 'Commune' doesn't sound well in english. I was going for 'Socialist Republic', but then the country name should have been changed, and I couldn't find any option for that so I assumed it must involve moderators. Too complicated for a bill that probably won't pass. However, Communes are not silly, maybe utopian depending of your political views. As the Wiki says: "A commune is an intentional community of people living together, sharing common interests, property, possessions, resources, work, and income. In addition to the communal economy, consensus decision-making, non-hierarchical structures and ecological living have become important core principles for many communes.")

MessageSP: My problem with using commune is that there are many successful communes inside our regions. It would get confusing.

I asked for equal representation of each region like you did early on, but someone pointed out that this would mean that all regions would have the same number of representatives regardless of the size of the population. Which isn't fair as it would make a vote in dazlon worth more than a vote in Mekerali.

MessageOk, we agree with RML, so we are dropping the name Commune until we can find something better.

On the other hand, the fairness of a representative system is relative. In the actual arrangement, we have a mixed system that privileges individual representation. We believe that it is more fair to assure a system that represents territories over individuals. We have no problem to clearly state that one of our main goals is to transform Ikradon into a Confederation of free federations of free communes (intended, in this occasion, as municipalities).

We would also like to highlight that bills, and specially bills that looks to reform the Constitution, are mainly an opportunity to debate, not a gun pointed to anybody's head. Even if we put this to vote knowing that it won't pass, it is only because we may feel that our fellow citizens should know where everybody stands in this particular issue.

Message2 people should not have the same political value then 20 people simply because there is a line between them on the sand.

MessageIndeed, if all regions had the same representation, regardless of population, then some citizens will have more political influence than others. Not very socialist, in my opinion.

MessageWe, as most other parties, also finds that this proposal is rather unfair.

MessageWe made no judgement as to why people support SynPar, we merely pointed out that equal representation for all regions would leave them in a better position than they're in now. But hey, SynPar has our respect for being so blatant about it especially considering, as SCI rightly pointed out, its not very socialist.

On the Commune thing, it's only the name we didn't like since that was the proposals, however SynPar is quite right in that the establishment of communes would in our opinion be total forced-utopian codswallop of the highest order. But thats a debate for another day,
