Message | Non. We cannot support Article 1 no Article 2. |
Date | 00:47:36, October 31, 2010 CET | From | Parti Conservateur Royaliste | To | Debating the The Education Act 3022 |
Message | Article 1 is in line with our central Government policy. Article 2 is to ensure that those children who have differant beliefs and lifestyles, still receive an education and we recognise that sometimes, the best education comes from the parents or private tutors. |
Date | 01:01:24, October 31, 2010 CET | From | Union Hosienne-Démocrate (UHD) | To | Debating the The Education Act 3022 |
Message | We feel that certain policies should be devolved to the local governments who are in better positions to determine policies that fit their locale. This is one of those policies. We also feel that given this Acts reestablishment of private education facilities, of which the AFK is strong supporter, there is no need for parents to educate their children at home. Private schools & religious schools will exist after the passage of this Act and there is no need for children to be taught at home by unqualified personal. Given the character education system of Kanjor (http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Education_in_Kanjor#Secondary_Education), of which the AFK's predecessor parties were the creators of, all children are given a strong individualized education and we see no need for it to be given to parents under the pretense that children need "more individual attention". In the case of children with special needs, as in severe handicaps or other issues, we feel that the support given to children in a school setting is much better and more intensive than can be given from parents as individuals. |

Message | Also, we feel that a public, or at least private, education system ends the trend toward multiculturalism and instead integrates the children of immigrants into our French-speaking system. The AFK is not particularly anti-immigrant, but does wish to protect our language and culture; all of which are threatened if people are allowed to educate outside the current system. |

Message | We would be willing to repeal article 2 after this act has passed since the vote has started, you may of course bring the action to the nation yourself to end home schooling but we will not swerve away from a central Government policy on these matters. |
