Message | Why can't you let local governments decide this? |

Message | My reasoning is such. I do prefer local governments have as much control as possible over their own affairs, but in the subject of ecology and environmental protection, if one region has poor environmental standards, other regions and other nations can also suffer and have no options to deal with it. This bill does centralize a lot of our environmental programs, but given the scope and importance of making sure our nation can continue to have natural resources and a good environment decades from now we will need the power of a united federal effort. |

Message | What do you mean the most important "issue"? Why is the environment an "issue". You could say the environment is very important, because without it entirely human beings coudn't live, just like everything else. Obviously it is imporant, but the importance of making laws that govern how humans may legally use it is what I meant to refer to when I said being blown out of proportion. That doesn't mean I think there should no laws at all on the matter, just that it really isn't as vital as it is made out to be by some. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
