Bill: Moratorium on stupidity

Details

Submitted by[?]: Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2048

Description[?]:

Given the large volume of legislation proposed recently, and given the poor quality of much of that legislation, we propose the following voting guidelines for all rational parties:

1. We shall never approve a bill in which the content of the description does not coincide with the effects of the game proposals attached to it. In other words, we shall not approve a bill that says one thing and does something else entirely (hint hint at many of the CRIP's bills).

2. We shall never approve a bill whose wording is so unclear as to allow a wide variety of interpretations and leave the door wide open to abuse.

MessageThis bill in itself matches conditions for "2. We shall never approve a bill whose wording is so unclear as to allow a wide variety of interpretations and leave the door wide open to abuse." And in some ways fits its first point as well.

MessageThis isn't a bill in the sense of something I'd actually want to pass - I'm just using it as a way to communicate with the other parties. And I certainly don't plan to attach any proposals to it, so the description can't contradict something that doesn't exist, can it?

MessageSure it can after all this is a bill "that says one thing and does something else entirely". Frankly its a rather dumb way to insult another party.

MessageThis bill doesn't actually DO anything at all.

And the CRIP is a party of idiots who can't even write proper English. It's pretty difficult to deny that. (Now you see why I hate democracy? Would you want to be ruled by a moron like that?)

In any case, this bill isn't just attacking a habit of the CRIP; it's an appeal to everyone to keep their proposals consistent with their bill descriptions.

MessageActually I've made my point quite clear that whether this is a neon sign or not, its garbage and a reflection of a low level of maturity on the part of your party. Thats all my arguement was, and you conceded the point by admiting that it was nothing more than a neon sign.

MessageI was not aware that putting up with idiocy was a sign of maturity, PPP, and neither was I aware that trying to improve the quality of political debate in our nation was a sign of immaturity.

MessageBTP, fighting what you call "idiocy" with your own brand of idiocy does not beget a debate of higher quality. This bill is an embarrassment.

MessageThe NDP shall vote no to this proposal, seeing as though this bill is just as stupid as the stupidity it seeks to stamp out.
