The consumption of alcohol is detrimental to health. This bill proposes that alcohol should be banned as it is a dangerous drug and can problems with the economy i.e. working days lost through hangovers and alcohol related illness also it would help law and order as this would put an end to binge drinking and alcohol fueled disorders. There will be some though willing to break the law but they will be severely punished. Anyone caught in possession of alcohol will face a mandatory jail sentence if convicted.

MessageWe would have to disagree with the idea that alcohol is always dangerous. In moderation alcohol does not harm a person and can lead to better enjoyment. Some alcohol based products, most famously red wine, have been shown to have positive effects on people's health. If there is a binge drinking problem then tougher licencing laws should be enforced. We doubt that hangovers make a major dent in the economy and would expect that people generally calling in sick falsely is actually more damaging.
