Bill: FDP Individual Liberties Restoration Programme

Details

Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3044

Description[?]:

The FDP proposes a massive handover of power away from the state to individuals. The question we must ask ourselves is whether we trust our people, whether we believe that civil society is advanced enough and civilised enough to regulate itself. We believe it is, and any intellectually honest person must admit that they too believe so. Any replies to the negative are merely indicitive of the desire of the respondent to centralise and keep hold of power, of their desire to socially engineer.

Message(OOC: A lot of this is purely political grandstanding and would never be implemented by even an FDP majority government. Also, I am not a loony libertarian in terms of my own political views. I'm actually a socially conservative social democrat.)
