The Badaran Islamic Council have ruled, on the issue of succesion, that only the Islamic "heir of the body" of Qudamah I al-Majali are eligible to succeed the Badaran throne. This ruling prohibits infidels and pagans from inheriting the Badaran Crown. The BIC made this ruling after the marriage of Sultana Latifah I with Klemens of Hulstria, a Hulstrian noble and a follower of the Lutheran faith, The ruling was made to ensure the continuation of the Islamic Monarchy in the United Badaran Emirates.
