MessageRelated to this, I want to open a dialogue with Civil Union on what an acceptable treaty compact would be, to prohibit introduction of bills to restore government-enforced athiesm. As I see it, an agreement must be reached by all parties except DUP in order to successfully get 2/3 in favor.

MessageThis bill is acceptable. I am also in favor of your proposal to amend our constitution to prevent a "reign of athiest terror" such as the DUP style.

CU will most likely accept this bill (he is a likeminded party in this sense to I and CPD) and this should pass easily.

MessageI doubt that he would accept cementing such a thing in the form of a treaty though, as his occasional 'get to church' outbursts would be denied.

Either way, I do of course oppose this until such time as a cabinet including the DUP is selected. We oppose article 3 anyway, and article 4 for that matter. There should be regulation so as to prevent evangelical ministers from pocketing all the donations that they might recieve.

MessageWhy not just ditch DUP from the cabinets and pass this and other religious stuff without him.

MessageTo get CU on board for a treaty would probably require us to put the theocracy options on the table. It'd solve half the evil, but not the whole thing.

MessageCU is inactive. He will probably drop within the next few days, meaning we need a new election. ( he has most of CPD and CC's seats of power)

MessageDUP did you read what you just said!!!

"There should be regulation so as to prevent evangelical ministers from pocketing all the donations that they might recieve."

Ministers don't get paid... Donations go to the church usually, (and if not, they go to a charity) and the church usually provides either a small living salary for the minister, or just a home to stay at...

MessageI guess that you didn't bother to read article 4 then?

MessageMy lord... DUP, look, I understand that you hate and fear all people who have religious beliefs, but do you serious expect people to starve? Why is it you believe in human rights... until those humans dare to read from a Book?

I'm also very disappointed that SDU voted no, although I can understand their vote if they're doing so only for tactical reasons. I hope that SDU will be reasonable on religion issues once it has seats in the Senate, and will agree not to bully people away from religious liberties.
