Bill: Monetary Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Darnussian Reform Conservative Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3051
Description[?]:
When government has control over the supply, saving, and transaction of money, not only does the quality of service go down, but the unhealthy government market provides an incentive for malinvestments. With government controlling interest rates, individuals will either be given the ability to borrow too much money (false investment, the most likely scenario) or not be able to borrow enough (bringing the economy to a halt). Both of these can result in recessions. Interest rates and other banking fees can be seen as the price of money, and as with all other prices, the market makes the best decision. |

Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The banking system.
Old value:: The government operates large, national banks, but small community based private banks are allowed.
Current: The government operates a central bank and all other banks are private.
Proposed: All banks are privately owned.

Message | Economic jargon bullsh*t. I don't want to be lectured on the workings of a privatised economy. All I know is that this promotes social class inequalities by promoting poverty. |
