Description[?]:
Government pension schemes are among the most bankrupt of programs to ever exist. It makes more sense to allow individuals to invest their own money in ways that they feel safer or more productive. It is not hard to save for retirement, you shouldn't need the government to force you to. If some areas of the country are over populated, and others are in need of population, why would the government introduce a baby-making incentive to the whole country? Each region has its own needs. As stated previous, welfare creates dependence and a deadweight loss for society. There are other places to seek help apart from the government: churches, family, charities, etc. By getting the government out of the business of helping people, the people in need of help can be BETTER taken care of by private means while still having an incentive to find work. This private solution does not result in market inneficiency either. |
