Message | Personally, I don't see how having to issue permits to companies encourages the growth of space exploration. It would almost be better off for the companies if it was unregulated, as then they wouldn't have to worry about getting the government's permission. |

Message | We agree with the IU, except for the word 'almost'. |

Message | This is a step in the right direction, but we note that it simply doesn't go far enough. |

Message | Permits require permission. Permission means there is a reason (to some at least) that it should not be done without such a request. What is that reason? If this is meant to encourage space exploration and other 'galactic' initiatives, how can this be seen as aiding in that effort? That being said, registering all rockets that have the ability to carry a payload is not a horrible idea for the sake of knowing what delivery systems are out there, but registering such technology is as simple as saying, "Yes, we have that technology... BLAST OFF!!!", not actually asking permission to use it. |

Message | If you need a permit, then someone wants to control it. Unless we want a socialist galaxy, vote no on this otherwise socialist bill. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
