Description[?]:
This is the basic bill of rights for all Darnussians. 1. Darnussians have the freedom of speech, and may support any political view. 2. Darnussians have the freedom of expression, so long as it isn't slanderous. 3. Darnussians have the freedom of the press, so long as it isn't slanderous. 4. Darnussians have the freedom of religion, and may be a member of any or no religion. 5. Darnussians have the right to be protected from discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or nationality. These are things we cannot choose to be, so it is unfair ro discriminate against them. These five basic points can ensure a better life for all Darnussians, to live in liberty and freedom, and free from oppression and tyranny. Veritas, Aequitas et Traditio We propose the complete repeal of this Bill of Rights because of its anti-individualism and therfore anti-liberty nature. Exactly how are we supposed to have freedom of speech when the governmet can take it away if they consider it to be "slanderous". How can we have have freedom of the press when the government can take it away for the same reason? Exactly how can we have freedom of speech, freedom of association, and freedom to own and conduct property how we seet fit if the government can take away all of these freedoms on the grounds of "discrimination". If our freedoms are limited to the point that they "discriminate" againt someone based on their race, sex, or religion; than we do not have freedom at all. We will move to propose a new, properly written Bill of Rights after we have successfully repealed this stinking of communist stench excuse for one. |

Message | OOC: Is there some way to actually enshrine the bill of rights into the Constitution so it isn't just some bill passed a long time ago that no one cares about anymore? Like, make it so it is visible when you view the Constitution of Darnussia? In any event I know that you can indeed make it so certain options are locked when proposing a change to legislation, and I think that myself and the other right-wing parties will be able to agree quite unanimously on these locks. |

Message | I am shocked, appalled and disgusted at the extreme stupidity of the Liberty Party and the DRCA, allowing themselves to be won over by any argument that The Scum propose. Gullible idiots. |

Message | What's more, this was only passed 20 years ago, when 4 out of the 6 parties with seats here were active, so quite a few people "care about it". Do you even look things up before sprouting out your usual crap? |

Message | Complain all you want, but I actually helped engineer the constitution act back in the day. It is my prefered document and it took no convincing from the red shirts |

Message | I like the Constitution you have proposed, DRCA, and agree with almost all of its basic tenets, however, I think it is a little bit vague on the securing of certain liberties. (it leaves room for the government to still enroach upon those liberties) |

Message | And can I also just not, this bill needs a 2/3rds passing, rather than just over 50% |

Message | So if we don't agree with the Communists we are automatically idiots and if we agree with the Red Shirts it is only because we are gullible and not because they have valid points. Anyone who votes Communist are actually the gullible ones because they buy into the slate of lie that they are not smart enough to provide for themselves. |

Message | And doesn't matter anyway. This is still the law, and I hope it stays that way. |

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill |
