Message | I'm not sure how relevant this is, as I don't know most of your nationalities in the RW, but there's an atmosphere in America (at least half of it) that the government and religion should be completely separate. From what I know about Europe, there aren’t as clear lines between religions the governments. Maybe that's because America came from a group of ragtag Puritans and Quakers and such who were seeking religious freedom from Europe. My rambling isn't very really important, but I was just thinking about it. |

Message | It's separated in the US, but lots of people dont want it that way. About half of them are Bush supporters, which is a decent indicator of it. |

Message | As far as i know, the christians have a big influence on US parties, especially the republican. Religions have almost no influence in germany. The conservatives have a "Christian" in their name, but that's about it. Ministers can freely decide if they want to swear "by god" or not, our last chancellor had 4 wifes etc. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
