These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:

Message | This bill is unquestionably MORE democratic than the current arrangement, in that it grants cabinet making to the largest party, and has a stable symbolic head of state to handle symbolic duties, freeing up the Head of Government for better work. The Senate Warden is restored AND empowered. |

Message | The re-implementation of the Senate Wardenship in exchange for the loss of the executive cabinet would be terms we would agree to consider. This however, would require much discussion. We are willing to sit down and discuss cordially. FIP Senate Minority Leader Gordon Sutton |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
