| Message | Rt Hon Marcus Aston MP, Prime Minister of Hutori Mr Speaker, this idea that the national flag is something sacred should be discouraged. Though we agree that it should be treated with respect, it is essentially just a design on fabric. There is no reason why it should be illegal to do anything to or with it, as long as the person doing said thing owns it or has permission. Mr Speaker, forcing children to sing the national anthem is not compatible with the values we hold dear. Though of course they should be respectful, there are some children who would feel very upset at having to sing in front of others. We believe they should be given the freedom to stay silent. |

| Message | Hon Toby Andrews MP, Leader of the Opposition, Mr Speaker, the Conservative Party oppose this Act. We should be proud of our nation and the symbols of our nation. Hutori is a very much traditional state with values that should be upheld. Honoring the flag should remain to be one of those many traditions. |
