Bill: Name Change

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3069

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The current title for our head of state is ridiculous and needs to be changed at once. It is embarrassing on the world stage, a mouthful to say and impossible to remember. I mean, who would seriously call themselves "His Imperial Majesty, by the Grace of God, Emperor George III of the Holy Empire of Aloria and the Alorian Dominions beyond the Seas, Defender of the Faith, Count of Battenburg, Supreme Governor and Protector of the Christian Church of Aloria" ? By the way, the his word at the beginning is utterly sexist, would what happen if a woman gets that role?

I yield

MessageMr Speaker,

look how simple one word can be. That whole mouthful of mambo jumbo can be condensed in one word and that is "Monarch" How simpler can that be?

MessageMr. Speaker,

The title of His Imperial Majesty that is displayed is his full and only title, nothing more and nothing less. Comparable to many other titles of monarchs around the world, His Imperial Majesty's title is quite modest.

I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Besides, in the event of a queen, the title changes over to fit gender.

I yield.
