Message | Rt Hon Marcus Aston MP, Prime Minister of Hutori Mr Speaker, it is our firm belief that there should be no discrimination in the military. All citizens of Hutori should be able to participate no matter what their race, creed or philosophy, since all citizens of Hutori pay taxes to fund this bulwark of our nation. The Honourable member may present this as the removal of government bureaucracy, but it is actually an attempt to disqualify Hutori citizens from service. |

Message | Hon Toby Andrews MP, Conservative Party Leader, Mr Speaker, the Conservative Party is not a discriminatory party. We ask the Liberals to provide one example of where we are. The Hutorian Armed Forces need to be able to operate as they see fit. For this House to be continually interfering with the Hutorian Army is destabilising to the Army and angers the army generals. I believe in handing decisions the army are perfectly capable of making over to them! Hutorian generals are not inheritantly discriminatory and if the Conservative Party even hears so much as a whiff that one has been - we will have him brought before this House and dismissed from his position in full view of the Hutorian public. The Prime Minister has our word and if his party changes their vote then any discriminatory stance by the Hutorian Army will be brought forward to the House immediatley. |

Message | Rt Hon Marcus Aston MP, Prime Minister of Hutori Mr Speaker, though we agree that the army is not a discriminatory instituion, we believe that safeguards are needed to ensure there can never be discrimination in the military. This is not interference, it is merely ensuring that the army abide by employment law as it applies to all other employers. If we can't hold the army to such standards, can we do so to any employer? |

Message | Hon Toby Andrews MP, Conservative Party Leader, Mr Speaker, given the Armed Forces are not a conventional "employer" they are given their own state policy. Current employment regulations are the following "Hiring policies are regulated by local governments". They are anti-discriminatory in nature also Mr Speaker, so the issue of discrimination is not an issue. Also Mr Speaker, the state appoints these generals and we can fire them also. What we cannot do is sack the owner of a Hutorian business. |

Message | Rt Hon Marcus Aston MP, Prime Minister of Hutori Mr Speaker, if they are not discriminatory, then there is no reason to remove this law. This law is just an extra safeguard to ensure proper procedure is adhered to, and we will not budge in our line on this. |
