Message | Rt Hon Marcus Aston MP, Prime Minister of Hutori Mr Speaker, we should not be discouraging foreign investors from Hutori. Their investment creates jobs and makes Hutori richer as a nation. Of course, they expect to make profit, but their companies will pay taxes to the Hutorian state and create jobs for Hutorian workers. |
Date | 17:06:23, February 02, 2011 CET | From | Hutorian Conservative Party | To | Debating the Investment Act |
Message | Hon Toby Andrews MP, Conservative Party Leader, Mr Speaker, our policy is to try and keep as many Hutorian companies in Hutorian hands as possible. That way it is Hutorians and the Hutorian state that prosper and not foreign business owners. This is not a xenophobic attitude but a Conservative Party policy. We believe that it should be in the governments interest to keep Hutorian companies held by Hutorian shareholders. Also Mr Speaker, some foreign investors are only here to make a quick profit at our workers expense. I know this government is not big on workers rights but we are. Mr Speaker, we want to protect Hutorian workers and the Hutorian peoples interests which is why the state needs a say in the foreign investment laws. |
