Message | Mr. Speaker, A huge bill, but we shall comment on an article-by-article basis. Article 1: we feel private property should remain private and thus feel government should not have the power to seize private property at all. This also covers our opinion in regards to Article 2. We have no issues with Article 3, Article 4, Article 5, and Article 6. Article 7: We ideally would support complete 'user-pays', but feel that those on low-incomes must be looked after and thus we shall support this article. We support Article 8. Article 9: We are unsure regarding Article 9. We feel renewable energy could be beneficial to Aloria, especially financially. Article 10: Similar concerns as those with Article 7 although housing is extremely important for those on low-incomes and thus we have a duty to protect them. We support Article 11. I yield. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The articles concerning eminent domain are a a balance. The government cannot seize land for any reason and all private citizens will be compensated by a neutral body. We feel that it is the best compromise between the two positions. As for renewable energy, we feel that the private sector should be responsible for this, but we do agree that renewable energy would be extremely beneficial to Aloria. I yield. |
