Message | Sorry, but I have to break with the cross party agreement. We feel that listing pesticides used, allied with making those proven poisonous or harmful to the populace illegal to use should be enough. A responsible farmer will not destroy his land to produce one bumper crop knowing in the long run this will be short sighted. A business orientated farmer will recognise that organic is currently in vogue and so most are already heading down that path as that is what the customer wants. This is one more layer of unnecessary bureaucracy that will only add to the famers overheads and make food, that most basic requirement for life, more expensive. |
