Message"Mr. Premier,

While the CPS recognizes President Bayless' commitment to filling the last vacant seat of the Supreme Court, the party cannot abide secessionists to be placed on the bench, given the current 'Dual Governance' crisis which the Unionists and Whigs perpetuate in defense of their monarchism.

Also, The CPS takes issue specifically with Ms. Keller due to her work at the Kennedy House, which is seen as a bastion of monarchism and aristocracy in Solentia.

I yield the floor."

MessageAfter reviewing the situation, we can no longer extend our support to candidate Caroline Keller. The nomination of a member of the Unionist Party, unfortunately, is much akin to nominating a rebel terrorist guilty of treason to oversee the law of the land. This is something that simply does not make sense.

Message"Especially telling in the wake of your recent support for Justice York, despite his belief in the legalities of social incentive. Dr. Keller has not shown such tendancies and yet you oppose her nomination based on what you call 'secession', despite one fully-nominated member of the Supreme Court already having explained the Regency Loyalist position on the Solentian One-State model in his nomination debate and having then been backed by Senate; this only proves the FIP-CPS political-prioritising over duty, state or justice."

Message"Mr. Premier,

The CPS' support of the appointments of Associate Justices York and Collins came prior to the resurgence of 'Dual Governance' rhetoric from the new-traditionalist monarchist bloc, as gestures of the CPS' willingness to work across the aisle in support of whatever tradition can be salvaged from the quickly sinking ship which the recent administration has inherited from its... less-than-traditional predecessor. If Associate Justices York and Collins were up for election at present, they too would not be approved by my party.

This is no politicking on my party's part, Mr. Premier. This is allegiance to Solentian tradition, and to Solentian law. These are the ends of the Supreme Court. We are loyal to Solentia.

I yield."

MessageThe Unionists have defined themselves a group opposed to any progress, snapping the spinal cord of relations in debate and returning to the model of illegal so-called "dual governance". It was not this party's choice nor the President's choice to end discussion, it was the Unionists.

Dr. Keller is a member of the Unionist Party, an organization that has decided to put its treasonous agenda ahead of the Federal Republic and to splinter the little unity this country is clinging to. This outrageous and ridiculous idea of Calydon government must be put to an end. This marks the beginning of the government's rejection of tolerance of such a bold illegal entity.

Message"There are no monarchists here, Mr. Redman. The Unionists have already explicitly stated that their support for the Lord Protector was nothing to do with monarchism, but protection from tyranny. Your blissful ignorance is, undoubtedly, due to your parties complete absence from the Protectorate, which we shall forgive. Needless to say however, the Unionist stance on titles and the Lord Protector is the single reason behind this sudden and inexplicable move against Dr. Keller's career in public life. You hold your own opinions and prejudices of our own party against Dr. Keller, whilst she has no ability to change Unionist policy at all. In fact, she is not a member of the Unionist legal teams and never has been. She was an employee at Kennedy House and is being deprived of public office as a result of her job security and your own illinformed beliefs on social incentive. What a trend to start for a new court."

Message"Mr. Premier,

The CPS would like to state for the record that the Whigs' accusations of CPS extremism grow increasingly laughable with each word out of Whig Senators' mouths. Every legal challenge to their nonsensical, illegal, and non-existent shadow government brings a threat of violence from the Whigs.

I think it is important to note who is showing restraint and who is not in this crisis.

I yield the floor."

MessageThe Whigs were repeatedly ready to compromise. The CPS arrived conspicuously on time with the Not So Independent Party to bolster FIP into a position of no compromise. Whatever happens is on your heads.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
