Message | Mr Speaker, This Bill is a Bill to protect Alorian jobs and industry and to keep them in Aloria. We need to place a tariff (tax) on certain imports and place a cap on certain imports so that locally made products are not subject to an invasion of foreign industry. With no import tariff, it would ultimately cost Alorian jobs and industries to oversees companies who do not offer the same salary and same working conditions that we do to our workers. In other words with no tariff, we are promoting scab labour. Mr Speaker, I call on all parties to agree to this Act, to agree to protect Alorian jobs and industries and to promote local products and local jobs. I yield. |
