Message | Yes, lets all worship the invisible hand, and the Aldurian people can rot in unemployment queues, why should it concern the government. |

Message | Yes, why should it concern the government? Maybe so the government can swindel money on unprofitable activities and poorly managed businesses. When an industry falls it will be replaced by a more efficient enterprises. However, if the government takes control of the enteprise and the inefficiency remains than there is no room for a better operating enterprise. You must see that this is state capitalism and it spells economic stagnation for our economy. Let us please spend our tax money on more important things such as education, healthcare and social programmes. |

Message | Well... The whole point of the nationalisation is to encourage the efficiency to return and to avoid the nasty little depression in between the fall of one enterprise and the rise of the next. And, of ocurse, state Capitalism is horrible. But as shall be supervised by the people it should not be so bad. And here they are only nationalised temporarily, that is, until they gain momentum again. |
Date | 11:44:01, November 19, 2005 CET | From | Market Socialist Party | To | Debating the Free Market Act of 2142 |
Message | There is no article to guarantee that the business would be given back to the private sector once they gain momentum. Plus it is unlikely that a private business could gain momentum under government control...expecially if the business was destined to `go under` in the first place. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
