Bill: Nationalization of energy companies

Details

Submitted by[?]: Revolutionary Worker's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3092

Description[?]:

The Worker's Party feels that it is important to nationalize energy companies, so that any kind of profit made by them is used by the State to serve the people.

On top of that, nationalized energy companies will more easily pursue ecological programs and develop renewable energies since no private interests are in the way.

MessageOk I disagree with the second your second point. Enough of this ecological, renewable, tree hugging crap. i will vote yes, but there is no way, our energy companies will be bending over backwards to satisfy the needs of a group of mentally ill hippies.

OOC: I cannot stand all this environmental crap that those bug worshipers are shoving down our throats. The world is not warming, even if it were it would be a good thing and even if it was a bad thing it wouldn't be our fault because humans cannot alter the climate not even for one second. All this global warming hysteria is just put out by a bunch of retards just looking to make billions out of our taxes and donations from the UN

MessageOOC: I'm not too much of an ecology fan, but the truth is that pollution is serious, in the sense that it can have repercussions on biodiversity. But what troubles me more is that CO2 is bad for everyone's health, plus, when renewable energies are researched, the main cost is maintenance, which isn't very high (solar plants etc, after some years of research can have a very high energy production rate)

MessageOOC: Yes I know pollution is a problem but global warming/climate change IS NOT. In the Atmopshere, CO2 is about something as obscure as 0.000001% of all gases in the earth's atmosphere. CO2 is nothing to worry about and there is no way that humans can bring up the level of Co2 in the atmosphere that can actually make a difference to the climate. As I believe humans are more important than a plant or animal.
