Description[?]:
“My fellow Rutanians: despite centuries of unity and respect for the rule of law among our elected officials, the Democratic Reform Party has declared themselves traitors and ended this tradition of civility and peace. They have used their roving gangs of murderous thugs to hold Floral Province and its people hostage. Men, women, husbands, wives, sons, and daughters have been murdered in the vain quest to solve a problem the DRP themselves invented out of delusion. These cowards are tyranny personified and have shown no signs of mercy, dignity, or respect for human life. But rest assured Rutania, these villains will be defeated. We will not stand idly by and watch our nation be torn asunder, we will not let them strip of us of our life and liberty, and we will not fade silently into the night as our fellow citizens are slaughtered. Their rebellious activity will be quelled with the full force and might of our magnificent military. By the power vested in me as President of the Republic of Rutania, I have mobilized our forces in a concentrated effort to eliminate these traitorous outlaws. Even as I speak, thousands of our brave military men and women are pouring into Floral Province. I call upon all citizens of this great nation to join in the efforts to secure our nation’s survival; your family and your life depend on it. Enlist in the military, donate supplies at your local government offices, and remain firm in your opposition to tyranny. Today we stand strong as one nation; our collective power is limitless, our resolve is unshakable, and we will emerge victorious in our fight to secure the peace. Good night and God Bless.” |

Message | Lord Huddersfield delivered a fuller response on behalf of the National Front, "Ladies, Gentlemen, Mr Speaker, President Craig Matheson has shown a great deal of leadership in the DRP's attempted putsch in Floral. Presented with utter electoral defeat in last year's election, they abandon what they supposedly stand for. They are far from democratic, they are far from supporting meaningful reform, and they are far from being a political party - they are vigilantes who could not stomach the fact that the people of Rutania were tired of them and their President Maria Blackwell. It is a poetic end for the DRP - their protection of the military budget now backfires against them. In President Matheson's televised address, shown to us in the National Assembly today, he has taken all the right steps. The National Front can only reiterate what he has said: sign up for military service, give what you can to the war effort, and protect Rutanian democracy. I have ordered the NF youth movement to offer their services as medics, for they have been trained in first aid through the normal programs of our youth movement. The National Front will be presenting a bill to call for early elections once the crisis has been solved, so we can fill the now-vacant DRP seats in this chamber. Good night." |
