MessageArticle 1 will prevent trade union militancy. Currently the trade unions are more powerful than the government and have the power to halt our economy altogether. The proposal is also fair - why should nurses, for example, be allowed to go on strike with train drivers, over train driver's pay?

Regarding Article 2, we do not feel those employed in the public sector should have the right to strike. Public sector workers perform essential tasks and their purpose is to serve the state in areas such as health and education.. they choose to work in the public sector and choose to help the state and her people, therefore they should not be allowed to strike. Article 2 will also reduce the stranglehold trade unions have the economy.

Although our party aims to reduce the size of the public sector and aims for much smaller government, we recognise some trade unions as democratic organisations - something we support - and would be willing to support trade unions willing to accept these fair reforms which ultimately would benefit everyone.

MessageOn Article 1, the workers should have more power then the government. We would have supported a more moderate approach, one that would have only allowed closely related unions to strike in sympathy for one another

On Article 2, wage slavery by the government is a barbaric practice!

Message@ USA: so what exactly is a state controlled economy if it isn't government wage slavery?

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.
