Bill: Adding Child Benefit to the National Social Security
Details
Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2144
Description[?]:
Colleagues, We would like to add child benefit to the national social security as an act of national solidarity between the several districts of our country. Leaving the situation the way it is could result into a financial diversity between the districts - hypothetically speaking - where one could not provide their families with child benefit because of a budget shortage while in another district there could be no problem. Every Rildanorian family has the right on an equal benefit and prevention is better than cure, so we think there should be a solidarity between all the districts of our country, dealing with child benefit on a national level. We hope that we reach a consensus. Regards |

Message | You are ignoring the situation where a district does not want to give any child benefits. This law wants to restrain the autonomy of the districts on the basis of solidarity. But if solidarity is the issue then why not let the rich districts give what money they want and let the poor districts use this money for whatever suits their needs. |

Message | That could be a second reason to nationalize child benefit but it comes down to the same result, a diversity between the districts. With a centralized social security we come to a situation where every district donates a certain amount in a central national fund acc. their individual social district situation, the national fund provides every single family with child benefit regardless of in what district they are settled. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
