Description[?]:
SUBJECT: JUNE BUDGET PROPOSAL 3110 TO: PARLIAMENT FROM: BILL OWENS, FINANCE MINISTER “Members of Parliament our surplus have turned back into a deficit at 46 billion and reports show that the deficit will continue to climb, it is climbing an average of 5 billion a month and until action is taken pay of you the members will be suspend along with per diem. As Finance Minister it is my job to propose spending and taxation bills and sends them to Parliament for debate and approval, and to help ensure our economy is running correctly. A government defect will cripple jobs and our economy and will lead to thousand of layoffs. I have a proposed a wide sweeping cutting budget that targets many departments except a few, these cuts is going to hurt and be contervisoal however, they must be done. Once population of the country stops decline and grows and our revune stream is back on track then I will propose spending increases back to the departments. I must warn Parliament that I am not likely to endorse any bill to raise taxes because of the effects it can have on people and the economy, we are cutting services here and we know it. Welfare services are going to be running but offices are going to be closed down. We are cutting education funding because we are free to because local governments are funding charter schools. The cuts to Justice, Finance, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs could lead to furlough days of government employees or layoffs however it could be stopping of certain services, or services being post poned it will be dertiminted by the Minister in charge of how to fund their department with the given amount. I welcome the input of members of Parliament however I am asking for quick action, and if lawmakers want to have pay back, then this or a new version of this proposal must be passed.” |

Message | OOC: Actually population is more like 272 million, not thousand, but yes it is shrinking at a weird rate, in the real world countries with shrinking populations eg. Russia. their population doesn't go that quickly, but anyway. |
