Bill: Private Defence Industry Permission Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic-Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2144
Description[?]:
The Defence Industry Permission Act would allow for there to be private defensive industries, existing with government-controlled agencies. This would create competition and allow our defensive capabilities to skyrocket as compared to now. Having both private and public defense industries allows the government to work on whatever it needs to, but also to use the so-called "contractors" to construct some declassified military hardware, as well as to independently work on newer weaponry for use by the Hutori military against possible conflict. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The nation's defence industry.
Old value:: The state owns all defence industries.
Current: Defence industries are privately owned but subsidised by the state.
Proposed: The state owns national defence industries but these exist alongside privately owned defence industries.

Message | We thank the Capitalists and Libertarians for their support. The Futurists say that the Military cannot trust some of it's secrets to a private defense corporation. This will be moved to the voting phase if there are no objections. |
