We believe our children should be raised to be proud of their nation and it's culture. We would point out that children are not forced to sing but given the oppertunity to show national pride.

MessageWe will never support this. Telling children to "show respect" to a particular tune that is going to be played every day is a useless obligation; it will only fuel arrogant nationalism of adults, and it is a first step towards the indoctrination of our little minds. Schools must raise up free minds, not regiments.

MessageOn the contrary the QNP believe it is beneficial. It is not indoctrination as the act outlines children are not forced to participate but to show respect. I am sure we can agree nurturing respect is beneficial. We would argue nurturing nationalism is important. It is the perfect way to cement over current racial divides and unite our nation.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
