| Message | We will never support this. Telling children to "show respect" to a particular tune that is going to be played every day is a useless obligation; it will only fuel arrogant nationalism of adults, and it is a first step towards the indoctrination of our little minds. Schools must raise up free minds, not regiments. |

| Message | On the contrary the QNP believe it is beneficial. It is not indoctrination as the act outlines children are not forced to participate but to show respect. I am sure we can agree nurturing respect is beneficial. We would argue nurturing nationalism is important. It is the perfect way to cement over current racial divides and unite our nation. |
