Message | We will never support this. Telling children to "show respect" to a particular tune that is going to be played every day is a useless obligation; it will only fuel arrogant nationalism of adults, and it is a first step towards the indoctrination of our little minds. Schools must raise up free minds, not regiments. |
Date | 22:57:08, May 10, 2011 CET | From | Quanzar Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Patriotism Act |
Message | On the contrary the QNP believe it is beneficial. It is not indoctrination as the act outlines children are not forced to participate but to show respect. I am sure we can agree nurturing respect is beneficial. We would argue nurturing nationalism is important. It is the perfect way to cement over current racial divides and unite our nation. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
