The Kommunistische Partei Dorvik believes that the current policy must be reformed if Dorvik ever experiences a serious emergency. Sub-Article I of Article I - A State of Emergency may only be declared if 2/3 of the legislature is in agreement and votes YES to the proposal. Sub-Article II of Article I - Any party within the nation may call for a State of Emergency to be declared. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We disagree with the sub-article insisting a 2/3 majority of the legislature is necessary in order to call a state of emergency. Ultimately, we believe this judgement call has to be taken by the government of the day. It also needs to be borne in mind that in a really dire situation, it might not be practicable to wait for a parliamentary vote until a state of emergency is enforced. |
