Bill: Trade Unions Strike Ballots Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Avanti Istalia!

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3120

Description[?]:

We think the current law tries to limit Trade Unions' power to organize strikes in a democratic way, and yet it fails in its principle. Allowing them to strike after a majority vote of only those who actually vote, regardless of the abstainers, is not always representative of everyone. We either scrap this vote system, or we require that an absolute majority is needed before going on strike.
