| Mr. Speaker, United Dorvik would like to present to the Volkskammer its policy toward the current system of mandating all citizens serve a term in the National Service. We believe that by forcing citizens into a civillian service, we may be potentially robbing them of the opportunity to serve in the Military at their earliest convenience. Military service as opposed to a civillian one serves to teach our young people important lessons on life and character, as well as setting them up for a good future. The military is not only good on your C.V., but it is vital to the defense of the nation. |

Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term of civilian national service.
Current: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
