Bill: Immigration

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Legend Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3131

Description[?]:

We would like for all refugees to be able to seek asylum and integrate fully and be supported but unfortunately they simply cannot. We cannot afford to have too many of them enter our country and we firmly believe that our own people should ALWAYS take top priority. They are untrained and so do not get jobs meaning we must support them with the taxpayers money. On the other hand, we train them and give them jobs but this means taking them away from BALTUSIANS as there will always be more people than jobs. Therefore our people become resentful at this, understandably, and there is uproar.A much more logical solution is to help them restore their own country to order. If there is a cruel and oppressive leader, we remove them. If their economy is damaged, we trade and give them relief to help build it. Of course, this takes time and therefore if people are in a very dire situation then they can come to our nation and receive aid. This will also help our own society by creating more diversity but only where we can afford it. This benefits everyone!

MessageA country should not be defined by race but by ideals the BPA supports anyone wanting to join and work for the great cause of Baltusia

MessageI completely agree! We welcome anyone to be part of Baltusia and are willing to help but we simply cannot afford them, certainly not in the long term. All we're saying is, doesn't it make more sense to help them restore their own nation rather than just bringing them all here and crippling both?

Messagei think that baltusia is big and strong enough as to support everyone, i go against "repairing" foreign countries, we shouldnt stick our noses in other houses, if a math genious comes from abroad and takes the math class from the baltusian teacher, so be it, our children will thank us later, as of the poor baltusian teacher, he should study more, find another job and live in the free housing until he gets a job

MessageNo nation is geographically large enough to hold or rich enough to support the entire population of so many countries! Yes, we are a great nation but we can never handle something like this. Also, it makes a lot more sense in the long-term to help the other country. We'll have a much stronger ally and a friendship that will last forever as if not for us they would not exist. It would also improve foreign relations, prevent future wars, protect our economy, avoid unemployment increase, reduce benefits, save our culture (we support diversity but only as long as we can protect our own culture as well) and avoid understandable tension from our people who would be losing jobs and benefits to foreigners.
