Description[?]:
The Genuine Progress Alliance propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria. ***Basis for Proposal*** After reviewing the current budget of Aloria along with past budget proposals, as well as putting into consideration the current population of Aloria, we are led with the following conclusions: 1. The current value of the Alorik currency has been more or less the same compared with its value in the year 2517. This is supported by a hypothetical scenario of a single taxation of 10% for employees earning 10,000 ALO or more, which generated the same revenue of 9,134,000,000 ALO in 2517 and in present time. This suggests that no significant wage increases were done, which reflects the value of the Alorik being the same. (Refer to http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=169143 for review.) 2. Alorians have been overtaxed to the point that those earning more than 25,000 ALO have to submit more than half of the earning for income taxes alone. (Refer to http://classic.particracy.net/budget.php?nationid=2 for review.) 3. The current tax structure was implemented to provide revenue to the government and to compensate the lack of taxpayers as a result of a dwindling population. 4. The current tax structure did not take into account that a population decrease would signify a need to decrease the national budget due to the decrease of beneficiaries in government programs. 5. Considering that the value of the Alorik did not have any significant change since 2517, it is worth noting that past budget proposals for Aloria did not reach 200 billion ALO even if the country's population had reached 100 million people. Examples: Budget proposal of October 2511 - http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=166912 Budget proposal of April 2561 - http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=186287 6. Despite increasing the tax rates, we still have an economic deficit at present. This leads us to believe that the problem is on how much we collect and on how much we spend what we collect. Thus, we have laid out the budget proposal below to address these concerns. These figures were mostly based on a previous budget proposal (see below) that sought to allocate each ministry a significant portion of the budget without being overfunded or underfunded. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office!
