Description[?]:
OOC: I saw this in another nation and thought it would be a good idea. Usually in Particracy Cabinets are no more than a group of parties forming a government. They may not neccessarily share the same views and may be totally different. I propose that by this system we can actually make coalition governments actually have some value. It will make the government more co-operative as it would be in the real world ===================================================================================== Provisions. 1) Coalition Vote - Every Party in the coalition government can - between every general election (currently 72 months) - call for a Coalition vote on two of their Bills. This Bill must consist of two or less articles or else people will stockpile their votes for one massive Bill with a huge number of articles. 2) Coalition Vote - can be asked ONLY for proposals where that Party holds the ministry. For example, if your Party holds the Education Ministry, it can ask Coalition Vote only on EDUCATION proposals. This would increase the importance of choosing and agreeing to Cabinet positions. 3.) If you vote NO to a Coalition Vote your Party or the proposing Party should leave the Coalition Government. This will lead to a new Cabinet being formed or possibly a general election. If the votes of one of the coalition's members is not needed to get the proposal through in a coalition vote, the party is free to abstain, however if the bill is lost then a new government must be formed ===================================================================================== OOC : I personnally think that using this method will make the game better. If a party declares a coalition vote then it is seen as a vote of confidence. I also think it will not work if all parties do not adhere to its use. |

Message | I agree, although I'd like this a bit modified - I think that if the votes of one of the coalition's members is not needed to get the proposal through in a coalition vote, the party should be free to abstain. (for example, if I and the Großmalivianische Reichspartei were in a coalition, and he'd call a coalition vote on something I don't like, I could abstain, because he has enough seats to get it through without my help). |

Message | I won't vote for it, not because I think it's bad, but because I think it should be a constitutional law, which needs to be mentioned in the bill itself to happen. |
