Mr Speaker, though we understand the Leader of the Opposition doesn't feel empathy for people from other countries, we cannot help but be shocked by his support for this legislation. Our country has made an excessive contribution to global warming by industrialising early. It is time for us to give back in order to prevent developing countries from making the same mistakes as us for the sake of 'growth'.

Mr Speaker, the Conservative Party's proposal will lead to more pollution globally, which will come back to haunt us in the long term. It is far more economical to donate now than to suffer in the long term.

Mr Speaker, what arguement is the Chancellor trying to win here? Foreign Aid goes to poor countries who are dealing with issues of poverty - not pollution! He makes no sense with these rantings in this House. The point is why are our taxpayers paying for other states needs? Surely other states governments should act more responsibly and govern their states better - rather than rely on handouts.

Mr Speaker, since the Leader of the Opposition isn't familiar with the Zeitgeist of political science, we shall inform him. Several Hutor think tanks have recommended foreign aid as a means to incentivise small countries to choose more carbon neutral methods of industrialisation. This is that policy in action: targeted aid to help those countries develop and save the world in the process.

Mr Speaker, i didnt realise that the Chancellor is now the self-styled "saviour of the world". Also, i am sure he knows of Hutoris reputation on the international stage and we are not in the position to dole out hundreds of millions of taxpayers HLA. Also....how much money will we have to give to other states now to compensate them on closing down factories, opening new "carbon neutral" establishments and compensating workers who have been made redundant? Perhaps the Chancellor would be better off ignoring fairy tale utopianist theories and actually deal in cold, hard facts for once and realise that he is just simply wrong.
