MessageMr Speaker, we have proposed the ratification of this treaty, and I urge all parties to support this measure. The war with Telemon was a dark period in our history, one which I hope we can avoid by ratifying this treaty.

Rt Hon George Norton MP, Prime Minister.

MessageFoolish warmongers, it is the belief of the National Imperial Party that the Left Socialist Party wishes for Hutori to war with Telamon, a thought dismissed by the more pragmatic and peaceful HCP and Democrats. My party has informed the LSP of the perpetual cycle of conflict between Hutori and Telamon and how this treaty represents both nations overcoming their enmity for each other and joining together to prevent war from ravaging all of Macon. It is only through the malice and shortsightedness of the LSP that this glorious treaty is threatened. Hopefully the Labour Party supports the side of peace and unity as opposed to an unbroken cycle of bloodshed and disunion.

MessageRt Hon Viscount Townsend MP, Leader of the Opposition,

Mr Speaker, i agree with our new allies in Telamon. This Treaty is to put all our differences behind us and lead to a new era of prosperity on Macon between the states of Hutori, Telamon, Davostan and any other states who wish to agree to the terms of the treaty. I believe that the LSP wish to disrupt this new Capitalist prosperity by trying to lock us in a tomb of communism. They are seriously deluded if they believe this is what the people of Hutori want. The people have clearly shown they want this treaty and its principals, the LSP would do well to take notice.

Mr Speaker, I am pleased that my coalition partners and the HCP have supported this proposal. It will surely end the possibility of the bloodshed of the past reoccurring. Whilst I recognise that each party is able to vote in accordance with it's own views, I feel that the LSP have made an error in opposing this measure. It would make it difficult to accept them into government should the need present itself after the election. It certainly rules out LSP control of foreign affairs and defence in any future coalition proposed by my party.
