Bill: Alcohol Consumption Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3135
Description[?]:
The laws surrounding the sales, and consumption of alcoholic beverages is flawed. By handing powers to regulate over to local government, the central government has failed to ensure a consistant policy-agenda across the entire Kingdom. Indeed, the proposed law would improve clarity, alcohol should only be available to adults (adults as defined by previous legislation). And the consumption of it should be limited to approved venues. It is important to allow people to drink, but responsibly and with central government awareness of the situation. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
