Message | Our party will agree to most of the proposals except article 1. Can the NFA elucidate on why we need higher corporate tax rate when the rate is in a competitive position? |
Date | 06:19:51, June 16, 2011 CET | From | New Front Alliance | To | Debating the The New Republic of Rutania Reformation Act (1) of December 3136 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, We welcome the new Democratic party and note that we feel a sense of familiarity. It is as if those behind the Democratic Party have served in this Assembly before! As if they are simply re branding to break the coalition for Rutanian renewal's majority. We welcome their input but any attempt to halt progress shall not be met kindly. We hope the Democratic Party joins the current serving cabinet parties in working for a better Rutania. |
Date | 08:46:57, June 16, 2011 CET | From | Commonwealth Liberal Party | To | Debating the The New Republic of Rutania Reformation Act (1) of December 3136 |
Message | Mr Speaker, How does this "better address" the economic situation in Rutania? In fact, years of liberalisation and liberal economic policy are what have brought Rutania to be a model for other nations to follow. This is a country that believes in freedom of the individual, not the interference of government as the NFA has proposed. All that this act does is increase the purview of government into the lives of everyday Rutanians, burden successful individuals and companies and in effect make for a worse Rutania. Rutanians do not want big government, not in 2137 years has Rutanian wanted big unwieldy government. Rutanians want small, efficient government, that stays out of their way. We fear what all this regulation and government will bring to not only the Rutanian economy, but also to everyday Rutanians. Should this pass, the LCP and our allies will make every effort to dismantle every little iota of this sorely unneeded and draconian bill. |

Message | We would like to thank NFA for their kind welcome, but breaking whatever is going on is not our party's intention. We will follow what is to be right for Rutania and that is the sole purpose of our existence. We would appreciate if the NFA answer our party's former question on the corporate tax. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
